RESTRICTION OF ALIENS.
THE CANADIAN BILL.

Ottawa, April 11. The Canadian Parliament has passed the Alien Immigration Restriction Bill, particulars of which were cabled on March 26.
An amendment to exempt those having served in the British army or navy was rejected.
Royal Assent has been given to the measure.
Sir 'Wilfrid Lamier, speaking in the DO-
minion House of Commons on March 25. explained, in reference to the protests of Hindoos at their deportation and exclusion from Canada, that admission was refused to all Asiatic and European immigrants, unless furnished with through tickets from the country of origin.
