j [BY TELEORAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION ] ! Oamaru, Tuesday. A CONFERENCE of representatives of the South Island chambers of commerce mot here to-day to consider the Government's regulation respecting the size of grain sacks. Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru, and Oamaru were represented, and after a long discussion, in which a variety of sizes were recommended by the delegates, it was eventually decided to recommend that a sack 46in by 24£ in be adopted. This, it was believed, would hold 2001b of flour as well as of grain.
