'I'fli: Prime Minister, who passed through Palmerston North yesterday, was met at the station by a large number of representatives of local organisations and residents, who expressed gratification at Palmerston. North having been selected as the site for the dairy school. 1 Sir Joseph, in replying, will Cabiuot, in arriving at its decision, eliminated all offers of land and money, and fcoughl to confine the question of site to one of the greatest benefit upon the dairy community as a whole. The Manawatu Times' Levin correspondent stales that many Levin citizens are most indignant at the decision of the Cabinet in placing the dairy school at Palmerston North, not so. much because they think Palmerston North unsuitable, but because the school was promised to Lev in by the late Mr. Bcddon long before the matter came into general discussion.
