THE GOVERNOR.
.His Excellency toe Governor (Lord Plunket), accompanied by Captain GathoraoHardy, A.D.C., and Mr. H. C. Waterfield, private secretary, arrived by the west coast boat from New Plymouth yesterday morning.
• His Excellency, in company with the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), will leave by special train at 7.45 a.m. to-day, to attend the Maori gathering at. Waharoa. Lord Plunket will return to Auckland subsequently, and on Wednesday next he will li,- the foundation-stone of the Grafton bridge.
Lady Plunket will hold a meeting at New Plymouth this afternoon, in connection with the newly-formed Society for the Protection of Infant Life. This evening she leaves by the Rarawa for Onehunga, and .will arrive here to-morrow morning.
