OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB'S

MEETING. I - I SECOND DAT. { [BY TBLBQBAPH.—OWN COBBBSPOKDBKT.] Taekoa, Tuesday. The annual lace meeting in connection with the Ohinenturi Jockey Club was concluded today in line weather, there being a good attendance. Mr. O'Connor'got the horses away together, and most of the events were well contested. The amount parsed through the totalisator for the two days was £4712, a* against £5818 for the two days last year. Sixteen bookmakers took out licenses. There was a little trouble over the Steeplechase. Only two horses competed, namely, Loch Fyne and Khama, and both went round the steeplechase course once too often, Loch Fyne coming in first The steward* held a meeting and declared it no race, and ordered all money on the machine to bo returned, declaring ail bets off. The race was fixed to l*: Tim over at 6.20 pin., but Loch Fyne went our, alone, and was declined the winner. The results are as follows: - WAITEKAUIU PLATE. Five, furlongs. Mr W. (". When the barrier went up Wauchope went to the front, .and, leading all the way, won easily by three lengths. Azoff came with a good run at the finish and caught Miss Crispin on the post. A good start was effected, of which Alba Rose got rather the worst. Hikuai was in front at the head of the straight, but fell back, and Lady French came with a good run and won an interesting race bv a length and a-half. Time, 49 2-ss. PAEROA HANDICAP. On* mile. From a good start Sweet Alice went to the front, closely followed by Le Beau.
