POULTRY SHOWS.
RECORD ENTRIES AT NELSON.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION'. ]
Nelson, Thursday. Record entries have been received for the annual poultry show at Nelson. The entries total within a few of 1200, all sections showing a big increase, but especially as regards pigeons and canaries. A large number of outside exhibitors, including fanciers from Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago, and Sydney, are taking part. Wanganci, Thursday.
The Poultry Association held their fourth annual show to-day. The following special prizes were awarded for the best birds in the show: —Langshan, Mrs. Holland; black and buff Orpingtons, Soler Brothers; golden Wyandottes, H. E, Rawson; white Wyandottes, C. Goddson; M'inorcas, J. H. Manntan; white Leghorns, R. Adamson; Andalusians, H. Haggie; best duck, Cooper Brothers.
