AN UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL
THE KILDALE, FROM VALPARAISO.
The steamer Kildale arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Valparaiso, foj '
docking and coaling. The steamer was a rather unexpected arrival, as no word,'bad! been received of her coming to Auckland. Captain Milner, the master of the steamer, reports that lie left Valparaiso on June 4, and met with generally line weather until Tuesday last, when the steamer encountered a strong gale from between northeast and south-east. The Kildale was then approaching the New Zealand coast, but the weather was thick and dirty, and 1 Cuvier light was picked up early yesterday morning, when the weather moderated. The Kildale will bo floated into Calliope Dock this morning, for cleaning and painting, and after coaling leaves for Newcastle to load coal for the west coast of South America.
