REVISING THE "MIKADO."

London, May 7. Prince Fushimi, . brother of the Mikado, has been accorded ovations at Dover and London on his return from Paris, where he has been on a diplomatic mission in connection with the Franco-Japanese alliance.
In the House of Commons yesterday the Home Secretary (Mr. Herbert Gladstone) hinted that a license may be given to a revised version of the comic opera " The Mikado." The Secretary ,to the Admiralty (Mr. Robertson) said the Admiralty at the instance of the Lord Chamberlain had instructed the naval bands not to play selections from the " Mikado " during Prince Fushimi's visit.
