SCARCITY OF SKILLED LABOUR
A MINISTERIAL DENIAL.

Dunedin. Friday. The Hon. ,J. A. Millar, Minister for Labour, gives a. flat denial to the report that an officer of the Labour Department is to be sent Home to bring out labouring men, owing to the scarcity of " skilled'' unskilled labour. The Minister says that the policy of the Government, which was determined upon some time ago, is to give assisted passages to domestic servants and agricultural labourers only.
