THE ABDUCTION CASE.

A STRUGGLE BETWEEN PARENTS.

By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.

Melbourne, January 28. With reference to the abduction case mentioned in yesterday's cablegrams from Loudon, it appears that Knipe, his wife, with their daughter (aged eight), went from Melbourne to England 18 months ago, and that a dispute, arising over financial matters, a "separation took place. The father seized the child, and a writ of habeas corpus was obtained, but Knipe removed the child to .Melbourne in defiance of the Court. Last September his wife got the child again, and took her back to England. The girl is heiress to a considerable sum on the death of her mother.
