Sydney, January 28. I.\ T the match Victoria versus Now South Wales, the former made 194 in their first innings (Armstrong 111). Cotter was the most .successful bowler, taking three wickets for 37. The heavy rain to-day pave the bowlers the advantage, and the visitors in their second innings collapsed miserably, for a total of 31. Carroll was top scorer for 8. Noble took six wickets for 21;; Macartney four wickets for 6. At one stage of the game Macartney had four wickets for nil. New South Wales won by an innings and 226 runs.
