Waihi, Wednesday. At the Police Court, this morning, before Messrs. King and Moore, J.'sP., a young girl named Susan Williams was charged with theft of some lace, ribbon, etc., valued at 5s 6d, the property of T. Godkin, her employer. Serge-ant Sheehan said the accused had been arrested in Auckland. Mr. Jackson, for the accused, said sbe had been led away by companions. He thought the best thing to do would be to order her to come up for sentence when called upon. She had promised to go back to her home. The Bench agreed to this, and entered a conviction, the accused to come up for sentence when called upon during the next 12 months.
