LAND SETTLEMENT.
THE AKATIATIA BLOCK.
The Government has decided to take over and open up for settlement the remaining southern portion of the native land in the Aratiatia. Block (writes out Matamata correspondent). This step will not only greatly facilitate the local drainage scheme, but will also considerably add to the settlement and prosperity of the district.
