THE CHINESE BOYCOTT.
DECLINE OF AMERICAN TRADE. By Telegraph Press Association Copyright. London, January 25. The reports from the United States to China have declined to the extent of 75 per cent, since the boycott began. The Chinese are importing Australian wheat instead of American.
All the reports show that the boycott still persists ; and that the American trade with China has been ruined. The Chinese protest more strongly against their exclusion from the Philippines, than from the United States. The friction thus induced may account for the reported desire of the United States to sell the Philippines.
