KING OSCAR'S DECISION.

PRINCE CARL MAY BE APPOINTED.

It is announced here that when the union with Norway has been formally dissolved King Oscar will not oppose the acceptance of the Norwegian throne by his son Carl. Prince Carl, Duke of Vastcrgotlaiid, was born in 1861, and in 1897 married Princess lugeborg, daughter of the Crown Prince Frederick of Denmark. Two daughters have been born of the marriage. Hitherto Prince- Oscar, who married Ebba Munck, has been mentioned sir the probable King of Norway.
