THE FACTORIES ACT.

Wellington, Monday. , A Bill to amend the provisions of the Factories Act in regard- to the payment of wages, is being again introduced by Mr. Taylor. The Bill provides that " every person, of the age of 20 years or over, who is employed in any capacity in a factory, shall be entitled to receive from the occupier payment for the work at such rate as is agreed on, being in no case lees than 17s per week."
