SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
ADDITIONAL RESULTS. TNE following uro additional results of the school committee elections which took place on Tuesday evening:— .Wade: There was a fair attendance. Mr. vein Aineln was voted to the chair. It was decided to request the Board of Education, to provide a male, teacher for ade school, and also to apply for the erection 01 a teacher's residence. The following * er £ elected as the committee: Messrs. A. JacK (chairman), F. W. Lcgg, S. C. Lloyd, David Roberts, 11. Vipond. W. Watson, and K. J. von Ameln (secretary and treasurer). —LUwn Correspondent.] Dacre's Claim: At the annual meeting of householders the secretary read the accounts as under:— Receipts: Balance, April 1, IW, £11 9s 3d: grants for ordinary purposes, £1 I 3s 9(1: special grant, £2 ss: total,' £30 18s sd. Expenditure: Cleaning, £5 19s Id; fuel. £1 18s 6d; repairs, £6 3s; special grant, £2 ss; school stationery. £4 7s lid; bank charges, 10s; stationery, 2s Id: balance. £9 12s lQd: total, £30 18s sd. The following were elected:—Messrs. Duncan William Knaggs (chairman), Harold E. Wliitaker, David M. Darroch, George Asliton, James S. Ashton, Michael Smith, and John Williams. Omaha : The meeting lapsed on account of no one turning up except the chairman. A heavy shower of rain just at the time probably was the cause. Wainui: There was a fair at tendance at the meeting. Mr. Kinsey in tbo chair. A committee of seven, including chairman and treasurer, was duly olccted, this committee to represent the Wainui and White Hill schools. Wainui being reduced to a halltime school owing to poor attendance, to work in conjunction with White Hill. .It was agreed that meetings in future be held in the afternoon instead of evening, as previously. the state of the roads making it unpleasant travelling after night.
