BOOKMAKERS FINED.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION",
New Plymouth. Friday. tor the Police Court four members of the bookmaking fraternity were fined £5 each on each of two informations laid under the new borough by-laws, charging them with frequenting Devon-street for the purpose of betting. Counsel for defendants gave notice of appeal on a point of law.
