A SINGULAR DEATH.
CHILD SWALLOWS A PIN. [BY TEEEGP.ArH.— ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Tuesday. A singular death occurred at Norsewood on Monday evening, •when a child four years old, named Evelyn Fredericksen, daughter of Mr. C. Fredericksea, of Ngamoko, died very suddenly. The mother of the child stated that deceased had swallowed a pin and died ten minutes later. A doctor was sent for from Makotuku, but the child had been dead some time -when lis arrived. He examined deceased, but could find no trace of the pin. A post-mortem will be made, and an inquest held to-morrow.
