«> »■ VERDICT FOR £800 DAMAGES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION-.] Napier, Wednesday. Tire slander case, Crowley v. Brown, wan concluded at the Supreme Court to-day. The jury found in favour of the plaintiff, and gave a verdict for £800 damages, with costs as per scale. Counsel for defendant intimated that he would make an application for a new trial, and execution was stayed for 10 days, to enable this to be done.
