THE ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Chbistchurch, Friday. y r Captain Scott, of the exploring ship Discovery, has written to Mr. P. Waymouth, chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board and manager of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, asking him to furnish to Sir Clement's ■Markham list of all canned and preserved provisions suitable for the use of the relieving ship, which will leave Lyttelton 'with supplies for the Discovery next year. Captain Scott says that he had great difficulty in finding cut, while at , Home, what could be procured in this colony, and he feels sure that it will help Sir Clements Markham considerably to get such particulars before the relieving ship is fitted out. Mr. Waymouth will be glad to get particulars of anything likely to be of use in the Arctic regions, with' the prices at which they can be procured, and these <he will send Home to Sir Cloments Markham.
