OLD AGE PENSIONS.
The Investigating Magistrate for Old Age Pensions, at Auckland, sat all yesterday taking evidence and examining documents connected with a batch oi applications. Mr. King, the Deputy Registrar, appeared on behalf of the Government. A few cases were adjourned and others struck out. The Court authorised pension warrants to bo issued to the following petitioners for the full amount, viz., £18 :—Rosin a Exton, Eliza Bailey, John Broughton, Ann Murphy, John Keir, Joseph Fleming, Henry Lever, Murdoch McLeod. Lesser amounts were granted to the following applicants :—John Driscoll £16, and Adelaide Pivott £8. The whole list was gone through, and when the business finished after six o'clock the next sitting was fixed for the 19th prox.
