ACCIDENT TO THE S.S. ROTOMAHANA.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. During the passage 01 the s.s. Botomahana from Lyttelton last night, the guiding strap of the low pressure cylinder carried away, the steamer being at the time off the Kaikouras. The mishap necessitated a delay of five hours in order to effect temporary repairs. The steamer then came on under easy steam, arriving at the Queen's Wharf at four p.m. to-day. Her departure for the South has been postponed until to-morrow, and consequently no steamer left here tonight for Lyttelton.
