GROWN LANDS BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Crown Lands Board was held yesterday. Present: Mr. Gerhard Mueller (Commissioner), and Messrs. '. Thompson, Harris,' Lundon, and Renshaw." Lands Disposed Of A summary of landi disposed of showed that 10,041 acres had ' been disposed of to 33 .selectors from the 20th ult. to November 24. ,• Meeting: It was resolved that the next meeting of the Board be held on Friday; December 21 next. Waitangi: An annual lease' of 9000 acre! of the Waitangi Block, Bay of Islands, was. granted to E G. Hewin. , Gannet Island: A resolution of the 23rd ult. granting a lease of Gannet Island to G. H. Buckeridge was rescinded, as the island belongs to the natives. "Thirds": "Thirds" schemes were received and approved of from the following bodies: —Hun Waipu North, Upper Ma- ' ! ": hurangi, Newcastle Road Boards, and the Tauranga County Oounoil.' Sawmill Site: The Herekino Sawmill Company applied for a sawmill site in part of the Raratonga Block. It was resolved to inform the applicants that it was found after survey that only an acre of Crown land was available for the Bite, and thai they must select elsewhere if that area ii not sufficient for their purpose, Purerua: Geo. Mountain applied for » lease of the Purerua Block (Museum endowment). It was resolved to throw open th< land for selection as a small grazing run at an annual rental of £33 18s. Puhipuhi: A lease of 200 acres on an an : nual lease of the portion of the Puhipuhi Block was granted to John Dqbbs. All timber rights to bo reserved. Cemetery Sites: Part of Clendon s grant, parish of Papakura, and seotion 18, parish of Mangonui East, were set apart for cemetery Wiangape: It was resolvad to throw open for selection 1150 acres in Block!., Wbangape, as " unsurveyed," at 7s 6d per acre, and 1050 acres in Whangape at 7s 6d per , *, v acre. ■ , ', ''•-''■ ... , , Takahue: A year-to-year lease was granted ; to M.
