About 80,000 to 100,000 acres i ; the Kawhia County will be open for election about March next, when the . n J js are ready. Four thousand acres will 11 available next month at Tokatoka in the Camatea County, and 15.000 acres are now pen at Wharepapa, West Taupo, south <! Kihikihi. In May next 20,000 acres wilbe thrown open at the head of the Mangaldiia Valley, between fiokianga and Whan ( trei, and in two months' time, provided thi survey is completed, it is proposed to oen up a large area of first-class land at tie back of Opo** tiki. Several small graziij and pastoral runs, located between Rotom and the Waikato River, containing an tfea of about 60,000 acres, will also be oftjred shortly. At present the Crown Lands Department axe only dealing with land unler the Act of 1894. Most of the country to bo dealt with is heavy forest and unbroten, though of first-class quality.
