MOUNT EDEN CONGREGATIONAL SUNDAY-SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. Sunday-school anniversary services were held at Mount Eden Congregational Church yesterday. The Rev. W. Day preached in the morning and evening and the Rev. F. Binns, of Redfern, New South Wales, in the afternoon. There were large congregations at each service. In the forenoon the Rev. Mr. Day gave a short address to the children. During the services special hymns were sung by the children, under the conductorship of Mr. William Trigg. Mr. J. P. Hooton presided at the organ. Solos were sung by Miss Burns (" There is a Happy Land"), Miss M. Woodward ("Jesus is Calling the Children"), and others. ST. PETER'S PRESBYTERIAN SAB-BATH-SCHOOL. Special children's choral services were held at St. Peter's Presbyterian Church, Great North Road, yesterday, in connection with the Sabbath-school. There were good! attendances at each service. The music was of a well-chosen and attractive nature, being taken from Burnham's " Children's Bosannas." An augmented choir, specially trained by Mr. D, A. Somcrville (who presided at the harmonium), rendered the various anthems and hymns with taste. ' Soios were sung by Mrs. Elvidge, Miss Somerviile, ancl Mr. Wyles, the first-named lady also contributing some duets in conjunction with Miss Jackson. The children also gave several choruses. '.I he Rev. W. J. Comne, of Hastings, conducted the morning service, and preached upon " God's order of things," taking Abraham as his subject. In the afternoon Mr. Marshall, home missionary, gave an address to the children. The evening service was conducted by the Rev. S. W. Entrican, M.A., of Belfast, who based an instructive discourse upon " Faith. Hope, and Love," the three gfjafc TKids of Ihe Apostles Paul, John, and James. AUCKLAND SOCIETY OF THE NEW CHURCH. The annual floral services of the Auckland Society of the New Church were held yesterday in the hall, Pompallier Terrace, Ponsonby. The hall presented a strikingly beautiful appearance, thanks to the profusion of flowers used in its decoration by the Decorating Committee. Special music and! floral hymns ware used at all the services, and recitations and readings were rendered by the children of the Snuday-school. Addresses were given in the morning by Messrs. G. Rhodes and J. Lepper; in the afternoon by Messrs. E. Cox anal T. L. Stevens; and in the evening by Messrs. Stevens and J. Clair. Mr. G. Plummer was musical conductor, and was assisted by a string orchestra. MOUNT ALBERT WES LEY AN CHURCH ANNIVERSARY. The thirty-fourth anniversary of the Mount Albert Wesbyan. Church, was celebrated . yesterday, when anniversary service;. 'were held. The Rev. H. R. Dew;bury addressed a large congregation in the morning, and in the afternoon a choral service was held), when the Rev. W. J. Williams gave an address on " Christianity and Music." In addition to Ihe anthems "To the GreatLoidl" (Rossini), and "And the Glory'' ("Messiah"), rendered by the cluir, Mrs. Caughcy sang, "The Lor J is Love," and Mr. F. J. Astley "Remember Thou Thy Creator." The Rev. W. J. Williams officiated again in the evening, and the attendance was large. The choir rendered the anthem "The Radiant Morn has Passed Away," and Miss Woods sang, "I Know that my Redeemer Liveth." CITY HALL SERVICES. The usual service was conducted at the City Hall last evening, and was well attended). Mr. W. Brakenrig presided, and an adfi're-H was given by the Rev. Binns, from Sydney. Miss Alice Rimmer sang two sacred uolos during the service.
