HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY'S SHOW.

An unusually largo number of entries has been received for the Horticultural Society's show, which takes place on Friday and Saturday next. The Choral Hall is already being got in order for the staging of exhibits. Everything will bo ready for the convenience of exhibitors early to-morrow morning. Pot plants both for the main and the children's sections may be delivered at the hall this evening, between seven and nine o'clock. Wo are requested tc inform parents of children who have entered for Section 1., but have received no visit from supervisors, to forward their entries to the lion, secretary, care of Yates and Co., immediately, in order to avoid confusion. No entries will be received from children who did not hand in their names three months ago. The attendance of supervisors is requested at the hall to-morrow morning. Teachers are reminded that labels bearing the name and standard of each child must be attached to all bouquets which have been arranged in the public schools. Mr. Goldie has already commenced the work of judging the 70 children's flower and vegetable gardens, and it is anticipated that this undertaking will be completed by this evening. The exhibition will be opened by the Mayor at half-past two p.m. to-morrow.
