ACCIDENTAL DEATH.

[by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.] Hastings, Monday. An inquest was held to-day on Edgar Wilson, a lad, aged 11 years, who died from a fracture of the skull, caused by striking the bar of the fire brigade door while running past the station at night time. A verdict was returned of accidental death. It appears that when an alarm of fire was raised on Saturday the boy ran to the brigade station just as the doors were thrown open. These are secured by falling bars, which projected som;> distance from the door, and Wilson struck his forehead on the bars. He was stunned, but soon appeared all right. Later on he became unconscious again, dying in about 24 hours. A recommendation was made to the brigade to adopt some other form of fastening for the doors.
