ALLEGED BREACH OF PROMISE

[BY TELEGRAPH.:—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday. The Supreme Court was engaged to-day hearing the case of Jane Thomson v. William Murcott, in which plaintiff, an exechool teacher, claims £1000 damages for breach of promise of marriage. The plaintiff is well known in Oamaru, and defendant is a surveyor in the Taranuki district. A number of very affectionate letters were read by plaintiff's counsel.
