TriE Pacific cable question was discussed at the Conference of Premiers, and it was decided that if the Imperial Government and Canada together contribute, or guarantee, five-ninths of the cost New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland will each contribute one-ninth. The opinion was expressed that New Zealand would he willing to contribute the remaining ninth.
