STORMY WEATHER AT THE THAMES.

♦ [JI TELEGRAPH.-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday. Viby tempestuous weather has prevailed here during the past fortnight, and the weather experienced to-day has been no exception. Several heavy showers of rain and hail have fallen during the day, accompanied by strong flashes of lightning and heavy peals of thunder. A severe storm, at about a-quarter to four o'clock this afternoon, flooded a portion of Albert-street, but fortunately it did not last long enough to do much harm. Several large landslips have occurred in some of the out districts, especially at Waiomo, where the Monowai Gold Mining Company have been put to great inconvenience and expense.
