THE WAIHORA. The Union Company's steamer Waihora, Captain John Gibb, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports yesterday morning. While at Port Chalmers tho ateamer was docked and underwent a thorough and complete overhaul in every part, The main saloon has been cleaned, painted, and redecorated, the ladies' cabin has been limilarly attended to, all the etate-rooma have been thoroughly cleaned and repainted, and the bathi and lavatories all attended to. The captain and officers' quarters have all been cleaned and repainted, and the smokingroom thorough renovated. The crew and firemen's quarters have been cleaned and painted, all the deck work and riggint , have been attended to, and the boats put into perfect order; the holds have been cleaned and painted, and the hull scraped, cleaned, and re-painted, while all the machinery has been thoroughly attended to. Of the trip up the coast, Mr. A. C. Walker, the purser, report* that the steamer left Dunedin at 4 p.m. on the'2lst instant, and called at Lyttelton on the 22nd, Wellington on the 23rd, Napier on 24th, and left Gisborne at 11 a.m. on the 25th, arriving alongside the wharf at 10.30 a.m. yesterday, Experienced fine weather all along the coast. The Waihora leaves for Sydney at 5 p.m. today.)

THE MANAPOURI. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri, Captain John Anderson, arrived from Sydney yesterday afternoon, after a rather rough passage. Mr, Nuncarrow, the purser, to whom we are indebted for our files, reports: The Manapouri left the company's wharf, Sydney, at 5.40 p.m. on the 21st inst., and cleared Port Jackson Heads at 7 p.m., the Three Rings were abeam at 6.20 p.m. on the 25th, and the North Cape rounded at 10.54 p.m., the harbour being made at 2 p.m. yesterday. Experienced strong S.S.E. gale and high sea and squally weather to the 22nd inst; thence strong easterly gale and high sea until the 24th, followed by fresh S.E. winds and fine weather. The Manapouri leaves for the South at 5 p.m. tomorrow, proceeding through to Hobart and Melbourne.

THE BELLINGER. The steamer Bellinger, recently purchased by tho Northern S.S. Company, left Hobart for this port on Sunday morning last, and is expected to arrive on Sunday next.

THE RIMUTAKA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rimutaka is fixed to leave the colony for London on May 13. She proceeds through the Straits of Magellan and calls at Monte Video and Rio de Janeiro. Having been fitted with a very powerful electrio learch light for use during passing through the straits, passengers will have a Gne opportunity of witnessing the grand scenery there.

THE HUON BELL SUNK. Yesterday Mr. J. J. Craig, owner of the ketoh Huon Belle, received information that the vessel had struck on a rock in Whangarei harbour, and had sunk. The vessel was loaded with coal bound to Auckland at the time of the accident, and made water so rapidly that the crew had only time to save a portion of their effects, Mr, D. Goiik left for Whangarei last night by the Wellington in order to make au inspection of the vessel, and see if any thin? could be done to save her. The Huon Belle was built at Tasmania in 1864, and was purchased by Mr. John Svnie, of LyCtelton, some years afterwards. She was wrecked at Fort Chalmers in December, 1879, but was afterwards launched and repaired, and was then engaged in the coastal trade. About a year ago she was purchased by Mr. J, J, Craig, who has had the vessel employed in the coal trade between this port aud Whangarei since then. Her dimensions are: Length,64-8 feet; breadth, 18'5feet; depth 5'6 feet; tonnage, 42. THK PIRATE. Yesterday Captain Stenbeck, and four of the crew of the scow Pirate, recently wrecked at Portland Island, arrived by the Union Company's steamer Waihora from Gisborne. THE GOTHIC. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Gothic left Rio de Janeiro for LoDclou on Saturday, with her cargo of frozen meat in good condition. THE FALKE.
