PROPOSED CINDER TRACK. The manuger of the Auckland Tramway Company (Mr. Kidd) has for some time past been contemplating the laying down ac Potter's Paddock, Epsom, of a cinder track, ami purposes bringing the matter before the Auculttud Rugby Union for their sanction shortly. Should the Union raise no objection it is almost certain that the track will be proceeded with at the close of the incoming football season. The track suggested would encircle the No. I football grouud in front of the grandstand and be a quarter of a mile iu length, somewhat oval in shape, a half-circle joining either end of the ground, which is 125 ft iu length and 75ft broad. To carry out the project would necessitate the tearing up of the greater portion of the ground to make it perfectly level, aud it is estimated that the cost would be about £300.
