THE DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATION.
TO THE EDITOK. Sir,—As the time is now approaching for the Diamond Jubilee celebration, 1 think most of your readers would like to know what action the Mayor intends to take to illuminate our city on that memorable occasion. Many of our prominent offices and shops in Queen-street are already making arrangements to celebrate the 20th June with illuminations. Other large towns are calling meetings to arrange for decorations, bo I think our Mayor and councillors should at once settle what is to be done to express our loyalty on that occasion.— am, etc., Citizen. i
