NEW ZEALAND NATIVES ASSOCIATION.
[by telegraph.—press association. J Wellington, Thursday. At a meoting held to night attended by about one hundred, a Wellington branoh of the New Zealand Natives Association was formed, and a provisional committee appointed to draw up rules. It was explained that the Association was based on the rulos of Australian Natives Association and would take the form of a national benefit, literary, and social society. The Association would take no part in party politics and no religious discussion would be allowed at any of its meetings, creeds meeting on a common platform, and for that reason the Association would oppose the teaching of religion in the State schools.
