AUCKLAND STOCK AND SHAREBROKERS' ASSOCIATION.

Business was much lighter yesterday at the calls of the Auckland Stock and Sharebrokers' Association, to some extent due to the vile weather prevailing. Fair activity, however, was evidenced in some lines. New Zealand Insurances were dealt in at 74s with further buyers at 73s 6d, and Auckland Gas (old) at £1328 6(1, with still a demand and no sellers. For Auckland Gas (new) there were offers at £7, for Thames Gas at 345, for Devonporfc Ferries at3os, and for Ngunguru Coals at 20s, with no sellers in either instance. Hikurangi Coals changed hands at 9s. Not much was done in either the Thames or Kuiotunu lists, Moanataiaris were firm at lis, after sales at that; and Puru Consolidated* ware done up to la 6d, with further demand; the same applying to Vermont* at Bs. Alphas saw considerable rise, trausfers running from 4s 4d to 5s 3d, with buyers at the top figuro, and no sellers under 6i 3d. Crowns, too, went up to sales at 37«, with further offers for them at 355, and no yielding on the part of sellers under 425. There was a demand for King of Waihis after tho last call. Talismans saw some heavy exchanges at from 13s to 13s 9d, with more offers at Pis 9;1, Woodstocks were done at 26s and closed hard, as did Waitekauri No. 4's, after sales at 2s 6d. Four-in-hands and Zealandias were the features of the Coromandel list.
