Heavy business Was done yesterday at the meeting" of tile Auckland Stock and Sharebrokers Association, there being declared buyers of Considerably over 90 different stocks. The general investment list received full attention, offers being made at firm figures. New Zealand Insurances Were exchanged at 788 Gd, with buyers at 735, and no sellers, while 18s 4d was given for Nationals. and 49a 6d for South British's. Auckland
Gas (old) were done at £13, and there were buyers of Auckland Gas (new) at £7, amino sellera. Some of the leading Thames mining stocks were again in marked request, and steady business was done. Moanataiaris saw transfers at both 10s 6d and 10.* 9d, New Albumins »tss 9d and 5s lOd, May Queens at 7s 4d, Sheridans at Is to Is 2d, and victorias at 3s 6d, all with steady buyers, Balfour's and Kapai-Vermonts changed hands at 6d and 8s 4d respectively, closing firm, as did also Golden Anchors after sales at 9|d. Upper Thames stocks were the day's feature. There were sales of Crowns at 355, with still a denand at 345. Waihi-Silvertons were bought at 80s, with, however, no further buyers and sellers at the figure named. Talismans closed hard at lis 6d, at which there were sales. There were buyers of Waihi'a at £6, and no sellers. Grace Darlings, Queen of VVaihis, Sovereigns, Stanleys, and Hauraki No. 2 saw very good business, as did also Maritauas. Woodstocks ran up from 22s 6d to 245, With more buyers at 23s Od, Bunker's Hills Were exchanged at 7s.
