FIRE AT MASTERTON.
[by telegraph.—truss association,] Mastekton, Monday. A kirk broke out last night in tho Waira* rapa Star office, spreading to premises occupied by H. Colo (fishmonger), A. H. Top (fruiterer), and Winchester (bakor). The first three buildings were Completely destroyed, and the lust was' partially burned. Fortunately there was no wind, or tho damage would have been greater. The insurances are : Star block, £700 in the North British ; Cargill's stock and plant, £800, divided amongst tho Standard, Royal, North, Liverpool, London and Globo ; Cole, £50 on furniture with the German ; A. 11. Top, £200 with the North German; Winchester, £100, Alliance.
