Cairo, March 12, The Egyptian troops will shortly advance to Dongola for the purpose of repressing raids, and also in the hope of distracting the attention of two bodies of Dervishes, one of which, under Osruan Digna, is menacing Kassala.
Cairo, March 14.
Twelve battalions of Egytian infantry, with 100 British officers, advance on Dongola, and a battalion of Connaught Rangers on Wadi Haifa.
The French are incensed at the movement, and declare it is intended to delay evacuation.
A Belgian expedition under Baron Dliainius attacked the Dervishes on the Upper Nile.
