DEATH BY DROWNING.
[BY TKLEGRAMI.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Aratapu, Tuesday. A young lad named Bezer, aged 16, belonging to the barque Grasmere, was found drowned this morning. He is a son of Captain Bezer, formerly on this coasb bub now of Sydney. The deceased left the ship last evening about seven o'clock to go to the post office. It was very dark and he evidently walked over the back of the wharf, which is totally unprotected and dangerous. His face shows a severe wound on the right eye, and it is believed he fell on a log and was stunned. An inquest was held today.
