ACTION OF THE COMPANY. [BX TKLKOBAFH. —VUK-SS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The Post says:—" The Midland Railway Company's representatives in the colony have, pending instructions from Home, [given notice to all thoir employees ou the [line nob to pay any attention to the seizure by tho Government. They are preparing i formal protest against the action taken jy Ministers in seizing tho line. If the seizure is persisted in, the Company, after protesting, will probably allow the question >f right to remain in abeyance until the Arbitration Court is properly constituted, md able to deal with the whole caso on its nerits. It will not permit itself to be ginned down to a narrow legal point, irrespective of the broad equities involved in he case. Mr. Harris, of Christchurcb, plicitor of the company, arrived hero from Christ-church to-day to confer with Mr. /George Hutchison, the company's counsel.
