CHARITABLE AID IN DUNEDIN
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, Monday. The annual reporb of the Benevolent Institution Trustees states that the number of persons relieved during the year was 3143, an increase of 476 on the previous year. The number in the institution on January 1,1894, was 234. The number on 3lßt December last was 147. Forty deaths occurred during the year. The average weekly charge for the inmates was 4s 6£d. The amount disbursed in out-door relief was £7377, an increase of £701. The total increase in expenditure for the year was £1083 16s Bd.
