PUKEATUA ROAD BOARD.
The April meeting of the Fukeatua Road Board was held in the Dairy Flat. Schoolhouse on April 17. Present: Messrs. J. Inglis (chairman), W. Lees, C. Jeffs, E. A. Frost, and M. Lennan. - Tenders were received for several works, as under No. 1, for road formation near Mr. McM air's : S. Thorburn, £8; Clifton and Co., £6 9s; 0. Brunton and Co., £4 18s ; (accepted) McNair, £3 7s 6d. Tender No. 2, for road formation and other work on the Kahikatea Flat Road : 3. Hawkes, £33 10s; Clifton and Co., £19 17s 6d; McNair, £19 10s; S. Thorburn. £15; (accepted), J. Brunton and Co., £13 15s. Tender No. 3, for formation and clearing on the Albany-Riverhead Road : S. Thorburn, £6 Os 6d; Clifton and Co., £4 17s 6d; J. Brunton and Co., £4 ss; D. Henderson, £4 2s 6d; Green and Son, £4 (accepted). A few days surface work was granted on the Albany-Dairy Flat Road, for clearing watertables and filling in ruts, the work on Ararimu Road not to cost more than 21s. Accounts paid: Wilsons and Horton, £4 10s: H. Brett, 15s; C. F. Cooper, £1 19s 9d. J. Inglis, £1 5s 2d; T. Seaman, £3 8s 3d ; E. Bond, £3. This was all the business.—[Own Correspondent.]
