PARNELL AND HOME RULE.

TO THE EDITOR. —In my lecture the other night, I distinctly stated "I have not referred to many men whose names were prominently connected! with Home Rule in later years, but who were not founders of the movement. This paper deals with its founders only." Mr. Kavanagh heard me make the foregoing statement:—As Mr. Parnell did not join the Association till 1874, and its inception was in 1870, he could not be called a founder." Under these circumstances, Mr. Kavanagh's " criticism" in your issue of to-day seems rather wide of the mark.—l am, etc., October 18, 1893. J. P. McAlister
