WRECK OF THE CUTTER DREAM.
Tauranga, August 3. The cutter Dream, which went ashore at the Mount on Monday, has become a total wreck. The vessel was uninsured, but the cargo of wheat and maize, belonging to a settler named Kemp, at Waiotahi, was insured in the South British Insurance Company, and has been saved in a damaged state, and abandoned to the underwriters. The heavy weathei we are now experiencing will probably break the cutter completely up. [The Dream is a cutter of the following dimensions: —Length, 49 feet 3 inches; breadth, 17 feet 1 inch; depth, 5 feet li inches; tonnage, & She was built at Auckland in 1870, and is owned by Mr. Joseph Bruin.J THE ACHIEVEMENT. Wellington, August 3.—The barque Achievement, for the safety of which some anxiety has been felt, she being 171 flays out from Liverpool to this port, was sighted oil' Stephen Island yesterday, and may bo expected to arrive off the Heads to-night. THE TAINUI. Capktowx, August The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Tainui left for Port Chalmers this afternoon. THE RIMUTAKA.
