A number of youths and boys congregated in front of Mr. Thomas Marshall's residence in Brycc-street, on Monday, and treated him to a tineanning on account of his recent marriage. MMarshall did not appreciate these polite attentions, and whilst the larrikins were in tout on their fun he fetched Constable Brennan on the scene, who took down the names of eight of the ringleaders, and they have been served with summonses to appear at the Resident Magistrates Court on Friday to answer a charge of creating a disturbance. Hamilton, Wednesday. Dr. Waddington passed through Hamilton to-day, en route for Auckland. At the usual monthly meeting of the County Council, held yesterday, it was unanimously resolved that the members of the Council desired to express their disapprobation at the member for the East Coast and the member for Te Aroha recording their votes in favour of the increased amount of the honorarium to be paid to the members of Parliament. The Council also passed a protest against the principle of the one man one vote in the new Counties Act, as being unjust, uncalled for, and nnsuited to county government. Hu.ntly, Wednesday.
