[BY TELEGRAPII,—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] Dc.n'kdin", Wednesday. The Rugby Union brought to a close tonight its investigation into' the charges made in connection with the KaikoraiAlhainbra match. Resolutions were arrived .at to . tho following, effect: — The newspaper statements that the Kaikorai. Alhambra mutch was sold by certain players are not substantiated ;•; the committee find that betting among the players docs exist to some extent; ; the evidence implicating the playing members of the clubs does not justify conviction, though it raises grave suspicion ; players and members have not afforded assistance expected to the committee, and one player who might have given valuable assistance refused: to . appear, and was disqualified ; the action, of three players of the Kaikorai club in ; concerning themselves with the investment of money for non-players was ill-advised, and such conduct will in future be dealt with as personal betting ; certain evidence laid before the committee can only be met by the following resolutions : That the committee consider P. Kcogh a professional, rind ; he ' be suspended during tho pleasure of the committee; that tho"resolution be remitted to the English union, and a copy forwarded to. the various New Zealand and Australian unions. -
