SUICIDE IN A CEMETERY.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PKESS ASSOCIATION , .] DuNEDIN, Sunday. An inquest wa3 held on Saturday on the body of Robert Samson, found dead in the northern cemetery. From the evidence it appeared he was a single man, 29 years of age, and had been engaged as copying clerk for Mr. McDonald, solicitor. He was of intemperate habits, and t had been discharged several times, but always given another chance. Three weeks ago he was finally discharged, and has done no work since. On Friday night he went to the house of his cousin, where he whs staying, under the inlluence of drink, when his cousin's wife remonstrated with him, anil told him to go to bed or go out, and apparently he went to the cemetery. Having prussic acid on him, he took Borne. A verdict was returned that deceased poisoned himself with prusaic acid while temporarily insane.
