A FATAL MISTAKE.
[BY TELEGRAPH,—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday. An inquest was held to-day on the body Of George Frederick Anthony Hall, who died on Saturday from taking " rough on rats " on Friday night in mistake for a Seidlit-z powder, having taken it in the dark. The jury returned a verdict " That there was not evidence sufficient to say whether the poison was taken accidentally or otherwise." The deceased, who was a paperruler, was 39 years of age. Dr. Teevan expressed the opinion that some restriction should be placed on the sale of this poison, as it was very deadly, a fact which was not generally known. He said two deaths had occurred from it during the past six weeks to his own knowledge.
