London, September 13. Sir Saul Samuel, Lord Wolseley, and Mr. Howard Vincent to-day inspected the Manson Magazine Rillo at Sheffield. The weapon, which lias been recently adopted by the King of Belgians, is claimed to be superior to the English magazine rifles, and Lord Wolseley expressed himself highly pleased with it. A FORGED CHEQUE. London, September 12. Weston, who was convicted of forging a cheque purporting to be. signed by Isidor Emanuel Wertheimer for £300, and which also bore the forged naino of Lady Dunlo, has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment.
